CS Specialty Chemicals Pvt. Ltd (CSSPL), formerly James Robinson India Pvt. Ltd, have been manufacturing Fluorescent Dyes since 2002 under technical license agreement from James Robinson Ltd., U.K. James Robinson Ltd. inherited the manufacturing technology and distribution rights from Holliday Dyes and Chemicals a former sister company after its closure.

CSSPL manufacture the Fluorescents Dyes at its state of the art production facility at Vapi, India. The dyes are produced to the strictest quality standards and are exported world wide. Since 2009 CSSPL have acquired the world wide marketing rights from James Robinson Ltd UK and distributes these products in the market under its name.

Fluorescent dyes give high colour strength and fluorescent intensity, with good stability and light fastness properties. They are generally recommended for plastics, synthetic resins, printing inks, and for incorporation into dyed resin pigments. In all cases suitability and shade in specific systems should be verified before use.

Products

Fluorescent Yellow AA 223
C.I. Number: Solvent Yellow 172
Class: Coumarin
Tsca Listing: Yes
Appearance: Orange Powder
CAS No.: 68427-35-0
CN: 32041971

Yellow AA223, a high performance fluorescent dye, is of a different chemical class to the older generation fluorescent yellows. It is also a significant advance in terms of fluorescence and other properties.

It is greener and brighter than other fluorescent yellows, and produces brilliant greenish yellow fluorescence with exceptional body. It is of a much higher strength and has better light fastness.

Yellow AA223 has a lower solubility in resin systems – particularly at lower temperatures – which may give some limitations in use. It also has a very low order of solubility in even the most powerful solvents.
Applications: surface coatings, lacquers, engineering plastics, resin pigments.

Fluorescent Brilliant Yellow R
C.I. Number: Solvent Yellow 43
Class: Naphthalimide
Tsca Listing: Yes
Appearance: Bright Yellow Powder
CAS No.: 19125-99-6
CN: 32041971

Has outstanding colour strength coupled with high fluorescent intensity. Its good solvent-solubility facilities a wise use in either polar or non-polar solvents, where good stability and fastness are exhibited. It is also compatible with all the usual plasticizers.

Yellow R is excellent where high concentrations of dye are required with high colour yield and good solvent tolerance, Brilliant greenish yellow shades are produced with high colour yield and good body.

Fluorescent Brilliant Yellow Y
C.I. Number: Solvent Yellow 85
Class: Aminonaphthalimide
Tsca Listing: Yes
Appearance: Bright Yellow Powder
CAS No.: 278-20-8
CN: 32041971

Combines the mass tone of a pigment with the fluorescent intensity of a dyestuff to give apparent additional body without diminution of fluorescence. It is suitable for resins and plastics where heat is employed in manufacture, and is particularly recommended for dyed resin pigments, being compatible with all the usual plasticizers, thinners and extenders,

Yellow Y is compatible with Rhodamines and may be used in combination. It is not recommended for cold formulations and has limited solubility in organic solvents.

Fluorescent Brilliant Yellow FGPN
C.I. Number: Solvent Yellow 44
Class: Aminonaphthalimide
Tsca Listing: Yes
Appearance: Bright Yellow Powder
CAS No.: 278-20-8
CN: 32041971

Produces very bright yellow shades with intense greenish yellow fluorescence, good stability and fastness properties. Good colour value and high fluorescent intensity can be obtained with low concentrations. It may also be used with white extenders. E.g. Titanium Dioxide, to produce opaque fluorescent resins.

Yellow FGPN has good solubility in polar-solvents (e.g. Alcohols, Ketones), but is insolubles or has only slight solubility in non-polar solvents (e.g. petroleum, ether, cyclohexane, white spirit). It is compatible with all the usual plasticizers and may be used in combination with Rhodamine to produce resins from yellow through to orange red.

Elbaplast Fluorescent Yellow GN
C.I. Number: Solvent Yellow 160:1
Class: Benzo-Pyran
Tsca Listing: Yes
Appearance: Bright Orange Powder
CAS No.: 35773-43-4
Physical Data: Molecular Weight - 369
Melting Point: 209 C
General Properties: Fastness

Elbaplast Fluorescent Yellow GN is a high performing dye which is used for the colouration of various polymers. It is particularly suitable for the colouration of transparent plastics.

Merantine Brilliant Yellow 8G 80%
C.I. Number: Acid Yellow 250
CAS No.: 93859-32-6
CN: 32041971

Suitable for wool and polyamide fibres. CSSPL is one of the major producers of the dye which colours yellow tennis balls. The product is also suitable for the colouration of high visibility clothing produced from polyamide fibers.

Fluorescent Yellow M
C.I. Number: Solvent Yellow 131
Class: Naphthalimide
